Title: Acrylic Painting #2
Yeah, I know this is similar to the last photo, but I've been practicing my painting for a couple of day, and like all artist I get a little OCD, so you get two pictures of 1 square inch of my painting! Don't worry, something new and different tomorrow!
There is a really neat show I just caught for the first time while eating breakfast and it's called Passport & Palette. Each episode features a different artist creating a plein air painting. The two I caught were both filmed in Italy - one in Lake Como and the other on the Italian Riviera. You should check it out. I think you would like it a lot. They talk about technique and you get to look at gorgeous scenery. It's on all day today on our sceondary public tv station called Create. I don't know if it's on there today or not, but here's the link to the show's website:

It looks like it is on public television nationwide as of 5/2009 so hopefully it is on down there in your neck of the woods.
We have like 2000 frickin' stations down here (like 30 different "Entertainment Channels" giving us 24-hour feeds of Paris Hilton's mail box), but we are lacking in our Public TV Stations. So, sadly, I don't have it on any of our channels. I am going to look for it on Hulu and some public stations that stream their shows because it sounds really cool! As I'm just starting out with painting, learning some techniques (other than: Put lots of paint on canvas!) would be really great!
